Sleeping Tokyo is a booklet I made after my first visit to Japan.
The title Sleeping Tokyo is a reference to the atmosphere of
the pictures shown in the mag. Although I took them in Yokohama
and Tokyo, the mood of these photographs is peaceful and quiet,
safe and sound.
I guess this is because i’ve seen so many colorful and noisy
pictures of Tokyo before I actually travelled there. So when I
took my own photos, I tried to avoid that typical image of
japanese cities.
Whilst most of the people on the Photos are sleeping, the drawings
point out a busier part of the city image, people around popular
shopping districts in Yokohama and Tokyo.
